Pre 2000: After training as a news/documentary photographer and journalist on newspapers, Andrew Yeadon joined Haymarket Publishing as chief photographer on Autocar magazine. Later, with a growing list of clients he became a freelance specializing in Automotive, Travel and Lifestyle photography. His work still featured in automotive magazines such as Autocar, Car and Top Gear but he broadened his portfolio to include publications such as British Airway’s High Life and Conde Nast’s Traveller magazine. Commercial clients included Rolls-Royce/Bentley, Audi, Ford, Mazda, and Volvo in the automotive world and the RAF, Navy and British Foreign Office via The Central Office of Information.
Post 2000: Andrew Yeadon moved to California in 2000 where he opened Exposure Studio and Photo-Gallery in Palm Springs. He continued his automotive photography with Automobile magazine and US car manufacturers such as Dodge/Chrysler but also expanded his lifestyle portfolio working for titles such as Palm Springs Life and the Wall Street Journal. In 2012 he won the prestigious WPA (Western Publishing Association) 'Maggie' Award 2012, for 'Best Single Editorial Photograph'. He has worked with Photoshop since its early days in 1998 and changed to a fully digital operation around 2006 when he became joint owner of Core photo studio in San Diego.
